Individual Counseling

Individual Counseling: A face-to-face encounter between a client and a counselor. Individual counseling provided by a counselor at H.O.P.E. Counseling involves the utilization of special skills to assist an individual in achieving treatment objectives through the exploration of alcohol and other drug problems and/or addiction and their ramifications. This includes an examination of attitudes and feelings, consideration of alternative solutions and decision making and/or discussing didactic materials with regard to alcohol and other drug related problems.

Please know that individual counseling does not only help people address problems related to their alcohol and other drug use. In fact, many other important personal issues are addressed during individual counseling services. These include, but are not limited to depression, anxiety, stress, anger, relationships, and grief. At H.O.P.E. Counseling, we show true empathy and respect for our clients by allowing them to focus on their main areas of concern. Individual counseling is a mutually collaborative effort between a counselor and a client who addresses a priority issue according to his/her perspective.
